Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. She is credited for starting research in modern science on the memory of children's eyewitnesses as well as the application of child witnesses in court contexts. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer and has been awarded numerous awards and grants. She has collaborated with a variety of governments and organizations throughout the world in research and guidelines pertaining to the child victimization of the justice system. She acts as consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a former member of various professional associations, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Praxis and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is an active part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the America Psychological Association's Developmental Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family policy and practice.
